Every mining, quarrying, infrastructure, and construction project involves a delicate balance between community engagement, compliance and operational considerations.
We are solutions-oriented people. We believe in translating the complex, simply. Over 30 years of expertise in creating monitoring systems gives us a perspective that few in the industry can boast, enabling us to provide customised environmental monitoring solutions for your project. Depending on your project needs, our solutions can include both operational and compliance monitoring equipment.
Below is a selection of the instrumentation we can provide as part of your comprehensive managed services.
Vibrations can impact communities, structures, and assets. Measuring these impacts inspired the development of the ETM and the GTM – our specialised blast and vibration monitoring solutions. Fit-for-purpose in all applications, these precision instruments are tough, durable, and robust. The ETM and the GTM fulfill all of your compliance ground vibration and blast monitoring needs. Both the ETM and the GTM report against AS-2187.2 2006, DIN 4150 and ISEE Guidelines.
The impact of industrial noise is always a major concern of local communities and should remain an important environmental monitoring consideration. Our noise monitoring solutions facilitate your ability to achieve your compliance requirements. We work with several brands and types of noise monitors depending on your specific operational or compliance monitoring needs. These noise monitors measure LAmin, LAmax, L10, and L90 etc.
The dust generated from activities such as construction and mining has been associated with both long and short-term health issues. We can provide a comprehensive dust monitoring solution using our trusted suppliers to meet your environmental compliance requirements including PM2.5, PM10 and TSP.
Weather conditions can influence the risks associated with vibrations, noise and dust causing both delays and human safety considerations. Our weather monitoring solution assists you to make various project decisions.
From an environmental perspective, blasting at mine, quarry, infrastructure, and construction sites generates the same issues as vibrations discussed above. But in addition, there are the issues caused by air overpressure generated by the blast. The Texcel GTM and ETM, with the addition of a specialised microphone, are designed to measure not only ground vibration, but also air overpressure. However, blast monitoring can also be utilised for diagnostic/operational purposes (provided the monitor’s sample rates are high enough). The ETM and GTM were designed with this purpose in mind.
